FitnessWave San Diego has teamed up with HealthyBodyBy.Isagenix.com to create a recreational cycling team to train for Tour de Poway in 2010. We want you to join us for this 100-mile century bike ride!
Who can join?
If you have a bike and can ride it, you can join us! We're not interested in racing...the goal is to complete the event, whatever mileage you choose for yourself. If the 100-mile option is daunting for you, there are 62-mile
and 50-mile options available as well. If you know someone who would be interested in joining us, please forward this to them!
How much does it cost to train?
Nothing! Our goal is to create a community of people who are interested in health, fitness and having fun! Registration for Tour de Poway is $50, but you don't have to register to train with us. We will also have a team jersey available to order for those who are interested.
What's
involved?
Starting
around mid-June, we will have weekly training rides on
the weekends, starting at low mileage and building our way up. We plan to have a support vehicle and aid stations (featuring nutritional Isagenix products) for our training rides. If you'd like to be part of our team but aren't interested in riding, we would love to have you be on our support vehicle / aid station team!
About the event:
Taking place on Sunday, October 3 2010, the 25th annual Tour de Poway is a challenging century ride right here in San Diego. The 100-mile (Century) course has 4,500 feet of climb and five well-stocked aid stations. The 62-mile (Metric Century) course has 3,000 feet of climb and three aid stations, and the 50-mile course has 2,500 feet of climb and two aid stations.
