Breaking News: Diet & Exercise May Help Avoid Breast Cancer


Recent news from the Associated Press could be life-changing for some women:

 
BARCELONA, Spain - Up to a third of breast cancer cases in Western countries could be avoided if women ate less and exercised more, researchers at a conference said Thursday, renewing a sensitive debate about how lifestyle factors affect the disease.

Better treatments, early diagnosis and mammogram screenings have dramatically slowed breast cancer, but experts said the focus should now shift to changing behaviors like diet and physical activity.

March is National Nutrition Month

 

According to www.eatright.org, March is National Nutrition Month which is a campaign created by the American Dietetic Association aimed at creating awareness about good nutrition. Here in San Diego we have no shortage of great nutrition options: Henry's, Jimbo's, Sprouts, Fresh n' Easy, Whole Foods, local farmers markets and an array of great nutritionists, like Tara Coleman.  San Diego is ripe with options!

 

To make the most of a healthy clean diet, it's important to combine it with a workout routine that's right for you.
